CODY
Where did you come from?
Solon, ME
How did you get here?
After my tour at Allagash, I knew I wanted to start brewing. I sought out my last job at a water bottling facility so I could get into the beverage industry and grow my knowledge. I was at the hardware store with my dad getting supplies to build a mash ton and saw Jeff. I had met him previously at a brewfest, and I recognized the Bigelow logo on his hat, so we started chatting about how I was building new equipment for my home brewing. I got a tour and fell in love.
What do you do at Bigelow?
Assistant brewer. Got a promotion from assistant TO the brewer. I was cellar-man for a while. And cleaning. I do all the cleaning most of the time. Colin gets to brew and I get to clean up after him.
What do you do when you’re not at Bigelow?
Long walks on the beach… or the Kennebec? Just kidding. I like to brew at home, play video games, hang out with family or friends before Covid was a threat.
Favorite style of beer?
Pilsner
Favorite Bigelow Beer?
Scary Gary cream ale because it’s my recipe.
Favorite non-Bigelow Beer?
Allagash White – I went on a tour of Allagash and was inspired to start home brewing, so this beer is special to me.
Most Likely to be overheard?
“Wanna try this beer I brewed?”
Quote?
“You know what’s better than beer? Beers.”
Hopes and dreams?
Kill Colin and become head brewer. I’m kidding. Or am I? Love you Colin!
